we left our hearts in san francisco.

First off, I must say, ya better enjoy these pictures. The post took me like 3 hours to do- anyone else hate blogger? Anyway, on with it...
For Colonel's spring break, we decided to go to San Francisco for a few days. We got lucky with good weather- it only rained on our last day- we ate lots of good food, and probably gained about 10 lbs!
Here are some of the millions of pictures (and excuse the pictures-they're all over the place. Oh, and they're all close-ups of our face, because we had to do the "hold out your hand and take your own picture thing," because we didn't dare let a stranger touch our camera. So, that's what you get. Up close and personal every time
Us at fishermans wharf:

Sea Lions at Fishermans Wharf. They are noisy!

One of the few pictures we got of the Golden Gate Bridge. Can you see it out there? Ya, we couldn't either. Everytime we tried to take a picture of it, it was so foggy we could barely see it...

On our way out to Alcatraz Island. I must say, Alcatraz was pretty cool to visit. Worth the money, I'd say.

Cool pictures Colonel took at the aquarium

Us at Fisherman's wharf:

Us in front of Lombard street- the "crookedest street"

Me on Monterrey Bay

Colonel finding some crabs and things.

A starfish at Monterrey Bay beach. Good photography, Colonel.

We went on this drive while we were in Monterey called the "17 Mile Drive." It is exactly 17 miles and it winds through forest, beach, mountain, etc, and every part is just pretty. We wanna live there now. Except it would cost millions. Oh well.... Here is one scenic part of the drive:

Just a pretty beach on the 17 Mile drive:

The "Lone Cypress" on the 17 mile drive- it's 250 years old. It was pretty!

Another awesome view on the 17 mile drive. You probably can't see, but there are houses on that overlook that beach there. I'll take one please, thank you.

Awesome aquarium at the science museum:

Me looking like a gomer [and shall we say quite pregnant?], freezing in the rain, standing in front of the "Full House" houses:

It was the trolley ride above that made us late for our flight- we planned on doing about a 10 minute trolley ride as our last "hoorah," but lo and behold, it broke down, we got stuck, got on the wrong trolley at one point, etc, so we were frantic. We made it to the airport with 15 minutes to spare, me running, Colonel holding BOTH bags, people staring, etc, only to then find out our flight was delayed two hours. AH! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Oh well, it made for a hilarious end to the vacation.
